Logansport Memorial Hospital

About the Client

Logansport Memorial Hospital (now Parkview Logansport) is a not-for-profit, regional medical center rooted in the heart of Cass County in Logansport, Indiana. With a longstanding commitment to quality, compassionate care, the hospital provides a full range of services to support the health and well-being of families across the region and surrounding areas.

Project Matters listened first so Logansport Memorial could deliver better.

The Project

Logansport Memorial Hospital was preparing to renovate its obstetrics (OB) unit to better serve mothers and families across North Central Indiana. To guide this important transformation, the hospital partnered with Project Matters to gather meaningful input from expectant mothers and those who had previously delivered at the hospital. The goal was to understand what women value most in an OB experience and use that feedback to guide meaningful improvements.

Project Matters Approach:

  • Focused Listening Sessions

  • Report Development

Result

Recognized as “the best baby-friendly hospital in North Central Indiana,” the newly renovated Family Birth Center features:

  • Five labor, delivery, and recovery rooms

  • A dedicated cesarean section suite

  • A Level II nursery

  • Eight private postpartum suites.

Since the renovation, the number of births at the hospital has increased by 22%.

“We were looking for a facilitator who could assist us with our OB renovation project. Amy and team facilitated a series of meetings that helped us identify what was important to women as they were making decisions related to choosing a location for the birth of their child. She guided us through the process, and we were more than pleased with the process and the report. She is a very skilled and thoughtful facilitator. I highly recommend Amy!”
